Intelligent combination harmonic restraining low voltage power capacitor compensation installation

1 General

Working in a 0.4kv low voltage network, the new generation reactive compensation installation
is effective, energy-saving, harmonic restrained and can raise power factor, replacing the traditional
reactive compensation installation, which is made up of intelligent reactive compensation controller,
fuse, capacitor switch, filter reactor and power capacitor. It is designed to address the problems like
high harmonic content in power grid and malfunction of regular intelligent capacitor. It can fulfill reactive
compensation, improve power factor, as well as eliminate the impact caused by corresponding
number of harmonic on the system and improve power quality.
This product adopts and intelligentizes state-of-art technologies like microelectronic software
and hardware, micro sensor, micro network and electric appliance manufacturing, realizing the low
voltage reactive power compensation function. Those technologies enable the product to work with
reliability, and conduct functions such as zero passage switching, protection, measurement, sigalling,
and connection. It is a major breakthrough for low voltage reactive auto-compensation technology.
It is mainly used in areas where harmonic waves are rampant. The product will work with reliability,
without generating and magnifing harmonic. Products cascading 7% of electric reactors are
mainly used in electrical environments with 5 or more major harmonic waves. Products cascading
14% of electric reactors are mainly used in electrical environments with 3 or more major harmonic
waves.
Note: this product must be used together with 580 type reactive compensation measurement
and control installation manufactured by our company!

2 Application fields

This product can be used in industrial areas like steel, chemical, contruction materials, papermaking,
textile, coal, electricity, telecommunications, aluminium, shipping ports, tabacoo, brewing,
carmaking, precision electronics, and precision machinery.
Meanwhile, it can also be used in telecommunications power system, stock exchange power
supply system, airport and port backup power system, large medical system, various UPS generator
sets, exhibition venues and commercial power systems like commercial office buildings.

of Low Voltage Shunt Capacitor Installation.

6 Features

6.1 Harmonic suppression function
The product can effectively suppress ultraharmonics and inrush current, eliminate the impact caused
by ultraharmonics on capacitor, protect circuit and capacitor from overloading, and prevent capacitor
overheating, insulating medium aging, self-healing declining, and life span dropping.
6.2 No inrush current switching function
Armed with zero passage switching technology, this quick responding product can fulfill dynamic
tracking and switch accurately when current and voltage are zero, thus being little affected by harmonic
wave (i.e. no switching inrush current).
6.3 Phase-splitting compensation function
With phase-splitting compensation types, every phase of capacitor can switch respectively. Fitful for
occasions where three phase loadings are out of balance, these products can raise ractive compensation
accuracy.
6.4 Measurement function
Measurement of power distribution voltage, and temperature of electric reactor and capacitor

6.5 Protection function
Loop current cutting and overflowing protection; capacitor over/under voltage protection; capacitor overheating, open phase and three-phase imbalance protection. When the temperature of capacitor breaks the setting limit, the capacitor exits completely to protect the system, increasing its life span and making sure the system is running safely.
6.6 Signalling function
Capacitor switching state and over/under voltage state signal; protection action type and self-dignosing malfunction type sigal.
6.7 Communication function
RS-485 communication connects capacitor and controller, constructing a system.
6.8 Connection function
The installation has a wired network communication function.
6.9 Intelligent network control
The installation can check and track the system’s reactive changes and switch capacitor groups automatically. It switches capacitors with same capacitance by the principle of loop switching, and capacitors with different capacitance by the principle of appropriate compensation. Capacitor that switches first, exits first and vice versa. Capacitor with lower running temperature switches first and the one with higher temperature exits first.
6.10 Self fault-finding function
Intelligent capacitor control unit can self-diagnose its running parameters. The complete machine can respond quickly to any self-finding malfunction and quit running.

a.The protecton level of shell is in line with GBIP20 standards.
The products are covered with full closed housings that satisfy the requirements of shell protection
level and can effectively guarantee user’s safety.

b.Temperature protection design (dual protection)
Because of the great amount of heat released by the working electric reactor, we adopt a design,
with which capacitor and electric reactor collect temeperature independently, to protect the product.
A fan cooled radiator is also employed to supply a two-level protection for users.

a. With a more reasonable graded compensation, a harmonic restraining joint compensation
capacitor includes two joint compensation reactance and capacitance circuits connected in series.
